| March 8, 1968- Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, MD RJF dies after a two-week stay there. Services are conducted by Rev. J. Lee Williams at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Charles Town, WV.
|  He is buried alongside his first wife, Merle Tice, in Shanktown Cemetery, Shanktown, MD.(today called the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery) at 11367 Big Pool Road near Fort Frederick. He was survived by four daughters, Mrs. Basil Prichard and Mrs. Charles Lombard, both of San Jose, CA.; Mrs. Robert Jones of Santa Fe, NM, and Mrs. Roy Steeley of Leesburg, VA; a son, Justin Funkhouser of Ranson, WV; two sisters, Mrs. Malcom J. Henesy of Ranson, WV, and Mrs. Linn Myers of Delray Beach, FL, and a brother, E. N. Funkhouser of Hagerstown, MD. |
